What We Do

Why Bugs Matter

A simple green bee icon with two wings and three stripes on its body, enclosed in a green circle on a white background—a perfect emblem for the bug squad.

Pollinator Health Awareness Matters

Pollinators are responsible for helping many of the plants we rely on for food, flowers, and healthy ecosystems thrive. By understanding the challenges facing bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, we can all take small steps to create healthier habitats and support biodiversity in our own communities.

Nature Needs the Next Generation of Advocates

Today’s young explorers are tomorrow’s scientists, conservationists, educators, and environmental leaders. By encouraging curiosity, asking questions, and spending time outdoors, we hope to inspire a lifelong appreciation for the natural world and the confidence to help protect it.

The Balance of Humans & Nature Is Essential

People and wildlife share the same environment, making it important to understand how our actions affect the ecosystems around us. Learning about insects and other creatures helps us appreciate their role in nature while recognizing when responsible management is needed to protect homes, public health, and our communities.

Meet The Team

We each bring something different to the team, from entomology and education to creativity and community outreach, but we all share a love of nature and a passion for getting others excited about it, too.

Janelle Iaccino

The Bug Girl | Marketing Director

Known as “The Bug Girl,” Janelle has spent more than 20 years with Rose sharing her enthusiasm for insects and the natural world. The nickname actually dates back to high school, when classmates discovered she kept a pet tarantula in her locker! An artist and musician at heart, Janelle brings creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of nature to everything The Bug Squad does.

Every Great Scientist Started By Asking “What’s That?”

Whether you’re five or ninety-five, curiosity has the power to change the way you see the world. We hope you’ll put down your phone, head outside, look a little closer, and discover that even the smallest creatures have incredible stories to tell.

The Bug Squad is proud to be part of Rose Pest Solutions, America’s oldest family-owned pest management company.

While we celebrate the amazing role insects play in healthy ecosystems, our team also understands how to manage the species that threaten homes, businesses, and public health. When education ends and a pest problem begins, our experts are here to help. Contact us anytime.
